With age, the entire forehead above the eyebrows sags and develops deep transverse wrinkles, as well as wrinkles at the bridge of the nose. All these factors contribute to creating a tired appearance.

A procedure known as a brow lift, or forehead lift, elevates the eyebrows and removes the vertical and horizontal frown lines. Traditionally, this procedure was done through a long scar across the scalp that went from ear to ear. While this brow lift technique produces good results, it does leave the patient with a long permanent scar across the scalp that is often visible when the hair is wet.

At North Dallas Facial Plastic Surgery, all forehead lifts are done using the new approach known as an endoscopic brow lift. This brow lift technique uses special instrumentation and a lighted camera through several small incisions in the scalp. Under video guidance, we then elevate and reposition the brow, thus giving the eyes and upper face a more youthful appearance with minimal scars.
